Debating Information

Overview for first time participants

The debating will be in 3-3 style, with no points of information or reply speeches.

There will be a total of 6 preliminary rounds of debating, 3 on each of the first two days of the competition. Following the completion of these 6 rounds, teams will be ranked based on the number of debates that they have won. Teams who have won the same number of debates will be further segregated based on the number of speaker points that their teams have accumulated during the six rounds.

At the championship dinner – on the night of the second day of competition – the top 16 teams based on ranking will be announced. These teams will then participate in finals rounds the following day.
